Dear Anna,
What an exciting year it has been for you so far. You have hardly put your pencil down since school started, leaving a trail of papers behind you literally everywhere you go. That is until you discovered how good of a reader you are too. Yesterday you bought a collection of Barbie stories at the book fair and amazed yourself when you discovered you could read 3 of the stories all by yourself. So last night you fell asleep reading your new book, and this morning the sound that woke me was your precious voice reading again from your bed as soon as you woke up. After reading all three stories to yourself, you moved into Alaina's bed where you woke her up and read to her.

I'm proud of you for all that you are able to do, but also for all of the great things Mrs. Lewis had to say about your character at our Parent Teacher Conference this week. She commended you for being a good friend to everyone in the classroom, for great behavior, and an excellent work ethic. You are off to a great start!
